VS Automation Pvt Ltd was successfully commissioned Ganthuna Mini Hydro (1.3 MW) in Kegalle, Sri Lanka on 11th October 2019. Here control, protection & low voltage switch gear panels are designed, manufactured & installed by the company. These panels are based on Siemens© SIMATIC S7 PLCs with Siemens© SIMATIC HMI Comfort panels.
These control systems are designed to run the mini hydro plant in fully automated condition with minimum supervision & have all functions required to operation of mini hydro plant including turbine governing, voltage regulating, synchronizing, generator & grid protection & web & mobile app based remote monitoring facility.
This web & mobile app based remote monitoring facility was developed with collaboration of Inova IT systems Pvt Ltd. The company also supplied & installed the medium voltage switch yard of this project.
